You probably won't find a better charger for the money. Best of all it charges both AA and AAA. Also, it stops charging on its own, which is nice feature. However, all is not roses. This being a smart charger, it won't even attempt to charge older NIMH batteries. So that said, keep your old charger for those batteries...as they can usually be used for many years in low demand remotes and similar after their normal range is compromised. However, for your new batteries, this is one nice unit per dollar.
