Okay, I saw these computer speakers in MCM's sale catalog and, just as a lark, I ordered a pair. I've blown money on things before (sometimes a lot of money) but I figured, "what the heck - it's only $3.99."
To make a long story short, I just ordered six (6) more pairs! I have a set of Sony SRS-A27 computer speakers which cost $15.00-$20.00 per pair AND you need to use either batteries or an optional-at-extra-cost AC adapter (and, as I'm sure you know, Sony AC adapters aren't cheap!).
These require none of that, being powered by the computer via a USB port. The speakers are complete and ready-to-go right out of the box.
How do they sound? See my comment above. I just ordered six more pairs! They sound as good as the Sonys. They will not equal speakers that sell for $50.00 or more - but they cost only $3.99!
My Five-Star rating is based heavily on the price. But believe me, you won't go wrong with these! I am very pleased and I think you will be too.
Buying these speakers is really a no-brainer.
