Six Zone Distributed Audio Receiver
The M-64 Multi–zone Receiver utilizes 12 independent amplifier channels to distribute audio to six stereo zones. Each zone may independently select from up to four separate sources (including internal AM/FM tuner), and selection may be done either on the front panel, or via remote mounted keypad controllers. Multiple M-64 receivers may be cascaded to allow additional zones.
Source Inputs
The M-64 has RCA audio inputs for connecting three external source components. In addition to the built-in AM/FM Tuner, three source components can be individually selected by each of the six zones. Additionally, each zone can be set to an individual volume level.
Keypads and IR Receivers
Keypads and IR Receivers enable the user to control the M-64 and its connected source components. Source component IR commands are programmed into the M-64 receiver. These commands are then triggered when the user presses a keypad button or issues an IR command to an IR receiver.
Each zone on the M-64 has a corresponding connection for one M-4KP master keypad module. This keypad allows source selection, on/off and volume control of that zone. Each M-4KP keypad can be mated with one optional M-10KP keypad, allowing enhanced control of that zone. Keypads are home run to the M-64 receiver, using Category 5 cable, terminated with an RJ-45 connectors.
An IR receiver can be included in any zone and connects directly to the M-4KP Keypad, enabling the remote control of the M-64R receiver and connected source components.
Each master key on the M-4KP keypad and its respective source component are programmable with a sequence of IR commands. Commands included in the sequence are typically the Play or Channel commands to start a source playing or to select a particular music or radio station after the source has been selected.
